TAWANG, Jun 8: Two days Computer Training on Smart Class under Chief Minister's Adhunik Shiksha Yojana started at DDSE Office today.

Speaking during the inaugural session, Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, Sang Phuntsok expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu for his dedication towards improving the education scenario and requested the teachers to participate in the training with full vigour. Reiterating on the importance of introduction of technology in education, he assured full cooperation from the District Administration in extending Smart Class to entire schools within the district. However, he requested the teachers to not let go the personal touch in their teaching process. DC also congratulated the education fraternity of Tawang district for having topped the AISSCE 2017 in the entire state with 72.54%. 

Earlier, highlighting the scheme, DDSE Apel Tayeng, said that the objective is to strengthen the teaching learning process through use of technology so as to enrich the quality and enhance the mental horizon of students as well as teachers.

The training which is being imparted by resource persons from EdCIL, Guwahati has 37 teacher participants from various schools of the district. In addition to the 37 Schools of the district selected for introduction of Smart Classroom, 3 more schools are being taken up under untied fund 2016-17 as informed by the DDSE. DIPRO
