Aalo, Dec 7: District Task Force Committee, West Siang held a meeting today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi here at the DC’s Conference Hall to prepare a roadmap for carrying out Covid-19 vaccination drive in the district.
While stressing on fine-tuning the preparations for administering the doses to the district’s people as and when available and spreading awareness in this regard well in advance to avoid unnecessary rush, the DC exhorted the Medical Officers to work with the same zeal that made routine immunization successful in the district. He further assured full cooperation from the District Administration to the Medical department as and when needed.
DMO Dr. Moli Riba stressed on early uploading of data in the Covid web portal for determining the prospective vaccine recipients in terms of priority and the need for keeping ready an efficient waste disposal management system after the rollout. Informing that all ambulances meant for the district’s CHCs and PHCs will be released soon since active Covid-19 cases have declined in West Siang, he disclosed that many young specialist doctors have joined General Hospital Aalo which will reduce the number of referral cases to other hospitals. DVCCH Gumge Padu and DPM Yomto Lollen spoke on IPPI Micro Plan 2020-21 and its performance through a PowerPoint presentation.
