PASIGHAT, Jan 31: The pre-budget consultative meeting for the seven districts of Upper Siang, Siang, Shi-Yomi, Leparada, West Siang, Lower Siang and East Siang was today chaired by Advisor Planning, Jambey Tashi.
Health & Family Welfare Minister & WCD, SJETA, Alo Libang, MLAs, ZPCs, Secretary, Planning, NT Glow,  Joint Director, Planning, Okep Tayeng, DCs attended the meeting at DC conference hall.
Highlighting on the focus areas for employment generation, livelihood opportunities, sustainable development, agri-allied sectors for long-term development of their respective districts and state in general, the chairman also stressed on encouraging the youth to come up with innovative ideas and providing all support to farmers & growers.
Taking note of the suggestions & proposals  of the respective MLAs of the seven districts and the DCs, Tashi noted their respective  proposals for infrastructural upgradation  in health, education, tourism, connectivity, agri-allied, flood & anti-erosion protection etc, while the need for manpower and infrastructure requirements for newly created districts was also noted. He thanked all for highlighting the potentials & requirements of their respective districts, which would help in preparing an inclusive, need based Annual Budget.
Tashi said that the annual budget is the most important document to accelerate & formulate a people-friendly, realistic, need based budget reflecting the aspirations & hopes of the people of their respective districts. 
He added that need based proposals will be prioritized,while also noting for fund allocation on need based for districts with high population density. Despite the challenges faced due to the Covid Pandemic, State Government has continued to carry forward core developmental activities and ensured timely release of salaries, wages of government employees including pensions to pensioners.

Earlier, Secretary, Planning, NT Glow, highlighted the  objective  of the State Government to hold the consultative meeting with stakeholders  in order to incorporate the aspirations & hopes of the people in the upcoming State Budget.
MLAs Ninong Ering, Lombo Tayeng, Kaling Moyong, Kento Rina, Kangong Taku, Kento Jini, Gokar Basar, Ojing Tasing, Talem Taboh and Kardo Nyigyor were present.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioners highlighted their district priority proposals in their presentations. District Planning Officers also attended among others. DIPRO
