TAWANG, Feb 8: Lumla legislator Jambey Tashi convened a coordination meeting  at Gakyid Zomkhang hall in Lumla on Saturday.
Opening this statement, Tashi called on the house to shun petty differences and work unitedly for the greater cause of society. "We have to uphold the interest of the region before self and remain vigilant from rumour mongers to propel Lumla towards prosperity", he said. 
Speaking in detail on the recently culminated ZPM elections which saw four of his leaders vying for the coveted seat in Lumla and Zemithang-Dudunghar segments, he exhorted them to sweep their differences and grudges under the carpet and work hand in glove for the welfare of the region.
Lumla ZPM Thutan Gombu, Zemithang-Dudunghar ZPM Lek Norbu,  ZPMs of Lumla, ZPM contenders Tenzin Phuntsok and Gom Tsering and senior leaders Lobsang Younten and Jowa Tsering also spoke on the occasion.
More than 300 public leaders from all pockets of the constituency attended the meeting as the hall ran out of it's seating capacity. This is the first major meeting in Lumla after a year as the Coronavirus pandemic terrorised the world in 2020.
