MARIYANG, Oct 4:  MLA, 40 Mariyang-Geku Assembly Constituency  Kanggong Taku inaugurated a 'welcome gate' at Mariyang today, amidst huge gathering of HoDs, public, PRI members and villagers.
While addressing the gathering, the MLA stated  that though outwardly the  inauguration may appear small but it has a great significance in the development of a town. It not only signifies beautification of the town but also determine the existence of the town. For Mariyang it is more important to be a hillock town, it is often bypassed due to its diversion from the highway road, he said.
While appreciating the public of Mariyang/Mopom circle for being law abiding, Taku  also requested them always to support the departments and the administration in implementation of various developmental works and programmes in the region especially which involves the beautification and cleanliness of the town.
