SEPPA, Feb 10: MLA Seppa, Tapuk Taku kicked off the golden jubilee Nyokum Yullo celebration football championship organised by Golden Jubilee Nyokum Yullo Celebration Committee (GJNYCC)-2022 held at general ground near here on Thursday.
Encouraging the youth to involve themselves in sports, Taku appealed to them to refrain from consumption of drugs and other harmful substances. He urged them to shun anti-social activities and do away with all kinds of contraband substances that may ruin their careers.
“I also appeal to the NGOs to come forward to create more awareness on such anti social activities. Drugs not only harm an individual but also destroy the life of your parents,” he said.
The MLA urged the youths to join the ‘Drugs choro – khel mein joro’ campaign initiated by Minister Sports & Youth Affairs, Mama Natung.
Underscoring the job opportunity available under Sports quota, he urged the youth to look at sports as a career option.
