PASIGHAT, Mar 17: Towards the aim of doubling farmers income under the Atma Nirbhar Yojna, Minister Agriculture, Horticulture , Fisheries & Animal Husbandry ,Er Tage Taki virtually flagged of Loan Mela from State Capital Itanagar for distribution of farm machineries - Tractors & Power tillers for farmer beneficiaries of East Siang at a function here in the presence of DC East Siang, Tayi Taggu among others.
During the Loan Mela, 46 farm machineries were distributed to the farmer beneficiaries of East Siang under the Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojna (ANKY) & Atma Nirbhar Bhagwani Yojna (ANBY).
Besides, Atma Nirbhar Yojna schemes, the department of Agriculture has distributed 6 tractors and 12 power Tillers under Sub Mission Agriculture Mechanization(SMAM) and 3 Power Tillers under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture(MIDH) were distributed.
In his address to the farmers, Taki, said that the State Government is committed to make farmers self reliant through this project of Atma Nirbhar Yojana as envisaged by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Speaking on the importance of farm mechanization for doubling farmers income , he urged the farmers to make optimum utilization of the tractors, power tillers and other farm machineries received by them through the credit linked front ended subsidy scheme . East Siang has immense potential in Agri-Horti & allied sectors, Taki said while urging the farmers to adopt target oriented approach to double their production & income. The Minister said that in this current budget of 2022-23 , priority has been given by allocating Rs.100 crore each for department of Agriculture & Horticulture under Atma Nirbhar Yojana so that more farmers of the state can avail farm machineries other garden schemes.
