ITANAGAR, Oct 15: Minister, AHV&DD Tage Taki on Thursday asked the departmental officers and field staff to put extra efforts to reach the animal vaccination target in the state within 45 days instead of 60 days.
Taki set the target while inaugurating the launching programme of the National Animal Disease Programme (NADCP) at the Central Cattle Breeding Farm in Nirjuli where he was accompanied by Secretary, AHV&DD Dani Salu. The Minister also asked the Director, AHV&DD to announce a cash prize with certificates for the field officers/staff who perform the highest number of vaccinations and registration of animals during the above period. Besides stressing on time-bound preparation of farmers’ databases and economic assessment, he exhorted the officers and staff to serve the state with full dedication. Live demonstration of ear tagging, animal registration, vaccination and uploading on the INAPH portal was done by the officers during the occasion.
Earlier, I/c Director Dr. S.L. Dirkhipa delivered the welcome address followed by a brief speech on NADCP by the State Nodal Officer-cum-Joint Director (Animal Health) Dr. Tachi Taku.
