NAHARLAGUN, May 9: The Department of Agriculture and Horticulture organized a review meeting of all the state and central funding for the year 2020-21 at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Agriculture on Monday.
Speaking to media persons, Minister Agriculture & Allied, Tage Taki said that the prime focus of the meeting was to review how far the department was able to provide its services to the public in the last financial year 2021-22, and its performance.
"We also reviewed the performance of last year’s Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana and Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana  and are going to implement this year’s budget proposal with slight modifications which we have discussed today, '' he added.  While appreciating the officials of the departments, Taki said that there is a lacunae but overall performance is satisfactory.
When asked about why the farmers are not getting the loans easily from the bank,Taki said “We are going to interact with the bank officials soon and will discuss the issue with the banks and will request them to provide help to the farmers."
While speaking on governmental support to farmers, the Minister informed that under Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana and Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana, government is providing 45% subsidy, 45% Bank loan and 10% farmer's contribution to purchase any farming/Agri-Horti related items. 
Among others, Advisor -Agri &Horti  Gabriel D Wangsu, Secretary -Agriculture -Bidol Tayeng and others attended the meeting.
