ITANAGAR, Jun 12: The 5th edition of Sub-junior state ranking badminton tournament concluded here at Dorjee Khandu Indoor badminton stadium. 
Attending the closing ceremony, Minister Education Taba Tedir who is also the President of Arunachal Olympic Association lauded the continuous efforts of Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA)for taking up the right initiative at the right age of the budding shuttlers and stated that ASBA is among the frontrunners in promoting sports of badminton across the state.
Secretary-General ASBA Bamang Tago stated that badminton courts are established in every district and block but young kids are not getting enough opportunity for practice and training purposes as veterans are usually occupying maximum time in the courts everywhere. He appealed all stakeholders to cooperate with ASBA to give good time for the athletes.
Results of this tournament has proved the credibility and presence of an international coach in the state as most of the winners are training under him. There is no doubt that we will get good results in national and international stage in two years of training, he said.
