ITANAGAR, Apr 14: All Arunachal Pradesh Abotani Students' Union (AAPATSU) has urged the state government to immediately terminate the Non-APST elected representatives like ZPC, GPC, GPMs, Gaon Burahs of the 48-Lekang ST constituency within twenty days.
Addressing a press conference, the Union’s President, Langpu Apon Maru informed that, the union has submitted a representation to the deputy chief minister on dated 24th March seeking his intervention in the termination of Non-APST elected representatives of the 48-Lekang ST constituency.
“AAPATSU has strongly urged and sought the intervention of the government for immediate response and necessary action for permanent resolution on the long-pending ST and PRC issue of 6 tribes of 48-Lekang ST Assembly Constituency,” he said.
We have submitted the representation to the deputy chief minister as he is the representative of the Lekang constituency for more than 25 years. Instead of keeping it pending for such a long period, we appeal to him to redress the long-pending burning issues of the six tribes— Deoris, Morans, Ahoms, Kachods and Adivasis etc without any further delay, Maru further added.
