ITANAGAR, Mar 31:  In what could be termed a morale booster for the State Transport Service, the Tawang station has collected a whooping rupees 72,92,954/(seventy two lakhs ninety two thousand nine hundred fifty four) exceeding its own revenue target. The total target of the station was Rs 54,11,226/ within 230115 kilometers.

Informing about this, Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Service (APSTS) General Manager Abu Tayeng credited the achievement to the Station Superintendent T Taggu who has a record of surpassing revenue targets in the last few years.

 “Such rare achievement in revenue collection wouldn’t be possible without an able officer like Station Superintendent T. Taggu,” said GM Tayeng.

Tayeng also attributed the performance of SS Tawang to the support and cooperation from Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi who have provided three new buses from their respective MLALAD funds.

Acknowledging the duos support in boosting public service, the GM appealed all the respective representatives to assist the department in providing hassle free public transport service from their MLALAD fund for procurement of buses.

Impressed by the performance, Parliamentary Secretary Transport Service, Likha Saaya congratulated the SS Tawang and opined that this will encourage other stations to perform with similar zeal to take public transport service to new heights.
