AALO, Jul 12: In view of the recent increase of Covid cases in West Siang district, Aalo East MLA Advocate Kento Jini today convened a meeting with the District Administration, health department and other stakeholders here at the conference hall of DC’s office.
While expressing concern over the sudden deterioration of the district’s Covid situation, Jini sought opinion from all stakeholders and stressed on the implementation of measures as per guidelines of the District Disaster Management Authority. DC Moki Loyi while stating that lockdown cannot be recommended unless the situation conforms to the guidelines, disclosed that certain measures like curfew timing from 4 pm, declaration of specific areas as micro containment zones according to threat perception, restriction on entry of new labourers from outside the district, plying of vehicles on odd-even basis, ban on parties and intensification of patrolling will soon be implemented after approval from higher authorities.
