YUPIA, Jul 16: Team of NDRF and Doimukh police rescued two persons who were stranded due to sudden rise in the water level of the pare river.

O Boko and L Modi residents of Itanagar had gone for bathing this evening when they were stuck on the banks of the river at Khola camp after sudden rise of the water level.

‘After receiving information NDRF team along with police team rushed to the spot and rescued the duo,’ informed Superintendent of Police, Papumpare, Tumme Amo.

Lauding the NDRF and police team for their prompt action, the SP also appealed the people to be more cautious while going to rivers or other places especially during odd hours to avoid untoward incidents.
