ITANAGAR, Jul 14: Covid casualty tally of Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday evening rose to 195 with 2 more deaths and the unabated run of the virus continues with 465 citizens getting infected, 34 more than the previous day’s figure.
Casualties
At DCH Pasighat a 23-yr old female Covid patient from Lower Siang district succumbed to the infection today. She was not suffering from comorbidities and her vaccination status is unknown. A 40-yr old male Covid patient from Kurung Kumey died today at DCHC Koloriang due to Covid pneumonia. He was not suffering from comorbidities and was not inoculated with any of the doses.
Recoveries, New Cases, Sample Collection
Of the 465 new cases (asymptomatic 280; symptomatic 185) recorded from across the state on the day, with a positivity rate of 16% (on Tuesday it was 12%), ICC remained the top-infected district with 109 cases, followed by Lohit (47), Papum Pare (40), West Kameng (39) and Changlang (32). In West Siang cases have increased from previous day’s 13 to 20 (current positivity rate is 8%).
Recoveries have fallen from Tuesday’s 343 to 286 and the first 5 districts were ICC (86), West Kameng (61), Papum Pare (29), Tawang (28) and Lohit (14). The state’s active caseload is now 4181 and 36903 citizens have recovered so far. 5008 samples were collected in total from across the state of which 688 were from the ICC.
Vaccination
According to the revised data on vaccination as per the State Covid Bulletin of July 14, after inoculating 4882 beneficiaries under the '18 years and above' age category on the day with the 1st dose, the coverage percentage shown was 58. 3429 also received their 2nd shots (12% coverage till date).
Occupancy status
Till 8 pm on July 14, it was 41 at DCH Chimpu, 48 at SQF Lekhi, 5 at DCHC Midpu, 8 at DCH Pasighat and 20 at DCHC.
