ITANAGAR, Jun 25: Three more Covid-induced deaths at DCH Chimpu has taken the state’s casualty tally to 165 and after last day’s tie, recoveries overtook fresh cases.
A 47-yr old male Covid patient from West Kameng who was inoculated with dose 1 in April middle expired on Thursday evening. An 80-yr old male from the ICR who also took his first dose in April died today early in the morning. An 80-yr old female hailing from Papum Pare who was not vaccinated with any of the doses succumbed to the virus today. In all the above cases, none of the patients had comorbidities and all of them died due to ARDS coupled with COVID pneumonia.
Fresh cases declined to 266 (asymptomatic 185; symptomatic 81) from the previous day’s 298 with ICR (55), West Kameng (41) and Lohit (25) the first 3 districts in terms of new additions. Of the 305 recoveries, the first 6 districts were- ICR (97), Lower Subansiri (34), West Kameng (30), Namsai (19) and Changlang and Lohit (17 each). The number of active Covid cases of the state on Friday evening stood at 2523 and recoveries at 31792. 5171 samples were collected from across the state on the day with a maximum from the ICR (1305).
In the '18 years and above' age category, 11703 (18-44: 10609 ; 45+ : 1014; HCW 16; FLW 64) took their first dose on the day which took the coverage to 56% and 193 also took their 2nd shot (10% coverage so far). In terms of age-wise overall coverage (dose 1+ dose 2), as of Friday it was 31% for 18-44, 73 % for 45+, 81% for HCWs and 92% for FLWs.
Occupancy status at the CCCs till 8 pm on Friday evening was: 42 at DCH Chimpu, 21 at SQF Lekhi, 0 at DCHC Midpu, 8 at DCH Pasighat and 18 at DCHC.
