ITANAGAR, Feb 9:  Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) has demanded action against  Police personnel for physically assaulting innocent students who were detained during the  36 hour bandh called by the All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA).
Addressing the press conference today, President APYC- Tarh Johny alleged that the state government has misused its power and machinery to harass innocent students. Many students were not part of the bandh, but were detained and assaulted inside the jail, he said while demanding action against such erring police personnel.
Alleging crore of funds misused by the state government in the name of COVID-19, he sought white paper. As per the state government, crores of funds were used to buy masks and sanitizers but interestingly, no one has ever received any free masks or sanitizer from the government. President APYC also questioned the state government on the restriction of entry of the public into the Civil Secretariat.  State Civil Secretariat is a public asset, so state government should immediately lift the restriction, he demanded.
