ITANAGAR, Sep 11: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) has condemned a viral video circulating in social media on women being forcefully and wrongfully confined in various areas of Upper Subansiri District.
While contacting the Superintendent of Police, Daporijo it was informed that police has taken the matter seriously and rescue team has been sent to rescue those wrongfully confined women, said Chairperson Radhilu Chai.
The Commission has sought status report from the SP Upper Subansiri district and requested to apprehend the people involved in this heinous crime.
Meanwhile, the APSCW also vehemently condemned the rape of a minor girl at Sikarijo village in Upper Subansiri. The Commission requested the police to apprehend the alleged accused at the earliest.
Further, the Commission has requested all sections of society to co-operate with the police for smooth investigation of both the cases so that justice may be delivered to the victims and their families.
