Itanagar, Feb 8: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar has condemned the derogatory and racial comment passed by social media influencer Elvish Yadav on Chum Darang, former Miss Arunachal and BigBoss contestant on Social Media. His comment not only insults Ms. Darang but the entire women society of Northeast India, the Commission said.
The Commission requests the concerned authority to take stern action against Elvish Yadav who tarnished the reputation of Chum Darang in particular and women of North East in general. Such behaviour and derogatory comments creates a pervasive sense of  fear and intimidation amongst women of the North East who are pursuing their dreams in the film industry of Bollywood making them vulnerable and marginalised, it said in a statement.
