ITANAGAR, Apr 23: With zero case of COVID-19 in the state and consequent to the state government’s relaxation for intestate movement of those stranded in the capital Itanagar on April 25-26 next, Health Minister Alo Libang today took a review of the situation visiting check gates and quarantine centres.
The Minister said that the state is well prepared for the situation and even if the Centre calls off the lockdown, precautionary measures will continue.
‘We have selected Police Training Center (PTC) Banderdewa as main quarantine center as most of the stranded person will come to the capital Itanagar,’ he said.
There are more than 8000 people who are stranded outside and are expected to return after lockdown. They will have to go for quarantine facility as per the standard operating procedure (SOP).
‘We cannot accommodate everyone here at PTC, so we have also advised every district to maintain SOP and have quarantine facilities for those stranded people coming to their respective districts,’ stated Libang.
To move from the capital region, one has to register themselves at the website provided for an e-pass of one way only on April 25th & 26th, he added.
DC Capital Region, Komkar Dulom ,SP Capital Tumme Amo, Director DHS, M Lego and other officials of PTC , NDRF visited the PTC along with the minister.
