Itanagar, Mar 15: The Arunachal Pradesh Water Sports Association (APWSA) is all set to participate in the highly anticipated 17th National Rafting Championship, which will be held on the Sutlej River in Panduwa District, Himachal Pradesh. The championship will take place from March 20-25 with participants from across the nation coming together to showcase their skills in competitive rafting.
A team of seven members from Arunachal Pradesh, consisting of some of the best athletes in the region, will represent the state at the event. The team will be led by Secretary-General of APWSA, Tatu Kartek, who will travel with the team to Himachal Pradesh for the championship.
The official launch event for the team’s trek suits was held today, with the Director of the Sports Authority of Arunachal, Gumnya Karbak, flagging off the event. The trek suits were generously sponsored by Lhoba Resort, with Okit Paling, and Donyi Hanggo Resort, owned by Nino Dai, lending their support to the team.
Nino Dai, the President of the Arunachal Pradesh Water Sports Association, expressed confidence that the team would achieve their goals and bring glory for the state.
The 17th National Rafting Championship is expected to be a thrilling competition, and the team from Arunachal Pradesh is eager to compete against the nation’s finest athletes.
