ITANAGAR, Jul 10:  Implement Rights of Persons with Disabilities, 2016 in toto in the state appealed  Echo Location Researcher and Thinker, Thomas Tajo while addressing reporters at the press club on Sunday.
Tajo also urged the state government to appoint a permanent commissioner for Persons with Disabilities as per the Act who will work independently for the welfare of the differently-abled persons of the state. "There are many rights for the differently-abled persons under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016   but the state government is yet to implement it," he added while citing job reservation and exemption in competitive examination. 
He also appealed to the political leaders from the opposition to raise their voice for the rights of differently-abled persons. 
Meanwhile, Mudang Yabyang informed that a representation to Chief Secretary and Secretary-Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has been submitted to implement the rights of differently abled persons. 
"In my representation, I have sought exception from job application fees.  5% relaxation in minimum cut-off marks for qualifying in any job examinations, compensatory time of not less than 20 minutes per hour of the examination for PWD candidates, and  separate seating arrangement in various job examination centers preferably on the ground floor for the convenience of PWD candidates," added Mudang.
She further appealed to all the student based organizations to support the cause of the PWD, so that no one is deprived of their rights.
