Itanagar, Oct 18: On the occasion of the 20th Arunachal Pradesh State Rajya Puraskar Award Ceremony, Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) today presented the Bharat Scouts and Guides Rajya Puraskar to the scouts and guides from various schools of the state here at Raj Bhavan.
30 Scouts and 19 Guides received the Award from Governor. Speaking on the occasion, Governor congratulated the awardees and exhorted them to work hard to excel in life and also applauded the trainers and officials for guiding the students. While commending the Scouts & Guides activities in Arunachal, he expressed his confidence that it will continue to exert positive impact in the growth and development of the state’s youths. He further advised them to actively participate in cleanliness works, take tuition of children from weaker sections of the society, impart First Aid training, volunteer for social service and blood donation camps and strive to protect the state's flora and fauna. Whatever you do, do it with the spirit of transparency, accountability, continuity, honesty and review and wherever required undertake mid-course correction, Governor advised.
The Scouts and Guides presented cultural programmes depicting the cultural heritage of the state and national integration along with a demonstration on First Aid. A brief report on Scouts & Guides activities was also presented by State Guide Organizer Officer C. Lowang.
First Lady Neelam Misra, Education Minister Er. Taba Tedir, Secretary Education Niharika Rai and Director, Secondary Education cum ex-officio State Chief Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Gania Leij were present on the occasion. PRO Raj Bhavan
