MUMBAI, Dec 5: The state mixed martial artists won five medals in the All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AIMMAF)’s Open National MMA Championship 2021, which kicked started on 3rd December and ended today at Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.  
Laki Weshi Sangno won Gold in straw weight MAA and Bronze Medal in Striking MMA categories. 
While Diyo Rimo and Tor Perme won silver medals in bantam weight Striking MMA and Bantam MMA and Nisham Sonam won Bronze Medal in Bantam Weight MMA.  All three fought three fight each. 
The IAMMAF Open National MMA Championship 2021 is for selection of Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GMMA) Asian Championship 2022. The state MMA fighters were representing Abrasumente Academy Itanagar, headed by coach Higio Tarak.
