ITANAGAR, Jan 27: The Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalist, the Arunachal Electronic and Digital Media Association, and the Arunachal Press Club has expressed their deepest condolences on the demise of Echu Gapak, mother of Apu Gapak, senior journalist and treasurer, Arunachal Press Club.
In a condolence message, the three state media bodies prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased and enough strength to colleague Apu Gapak.
"We are with you at this hour of grief and sorrow.  We pray the almighty God comfort you and your whole family during this sad time," the condolence message read.
On Wednesday, after a prolonged illness, the 56-year-old Echu Gapak passed away at Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, Naharlagun.
Born to Late Tiid Ligu and Yalar Rikar Ligu on 21st  November 1965 at Ligu Village under erstwhile Upper Subansiri District,  did her Primary education from Ligu Primary School and Government  Higher Secondary school Daporijo in 1976 and 1978 respectively.
She was the ZPM of Chikom Zilla segment from 2008 to 2013 after serving as ASM of Daporijo from in1987-1992, PPA women wing, Upper Subansiri, 1978 to 1982, vigilance committee member of Arunachal Congress in 1996 to 1998.
