ITANAGAR, Aug 10: “We should try to become a job giver, not job seeker,” said Industries, Handloom, Handicraft, and Skill Development Minister Tumke Bagra while speaking during the opening ceremony of a manufacturing unit of paper plate, paper glass, and napkins named as ‘Pluvia’ at Jully village here today.
Tumke Bagra also emphasized on ‘ vocal for local and Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ and revealed that the state government has launched its industrial policy to assist the state's willing and qualified educated entrepreneurs and skilled individuals to set up their own businesses.
There are even provisions for granting of loans to support the opening of small and medium sized industries, he said adding that vocal for local would only succeed if we are determined to work with our skill which we can learn only through proper education and training.
“Time has come now for our local educators to rise and tap available resources, then set up manufacturing units to process several kinds of food products to earn income as well as to generate jobs,” he emphasized.
Also appreciating the Proprietor Biri Santi Nido for establishing the manufacturing unit, Bagra underlined that opening of the unit would go a long way in inspiring other upcoming entrepreneurs to set up a manufacturing unit in the state.
Industries Secretary Hage Tari, Director Habung Donyi, IMWA President Yumlam Achung, BJYM General Secretary Dolang Tako among others also spoke on the occasion.
