ITANAGAR, Jun 18: The State Health Agency (SHA), Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Society, has signed MoU with Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM ) with an objective to enroll and extend the benefits of Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and provide health IDs to the women self-help group (SHG) members under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
The outgoing Secretary of Health & FW, P Parthiban, speaking during the signing of the MoU emphasized on empowerment of women. He categorically mentioned that SHG members and their family members will get healthcare coverage of Rs. 5 lakhs per annum under CMAAY or AB PM-JAY. He stressed issuing Health IDs to every SHG member in order to ensure a continuum of care.
The Secretary RD & PR, Amarnath Talwade, termed the signing of the MoU as historic. “Altogether 45040 women SHG members stand to benefit from the health assurance schemes in the empanelled hospitals across the country,” he said.
The CEO of State Health Agency, Dr. Nabam Peter expressed optimism that SHG members will become ambassadors for creating awareness about these schemes in the remote areas where digital penetration is low.
The State Mission Manager (Financial Inclusion), ArSRLM, Hillang Tasap has also said that this initiative is the innovative convergence model for deepening and accelerating the health assurance scheme of the State at the doorstep of the rural clients through the SHG ecosystem.
