PASIGHAT, Sep 18: The first ever National Labour Day 2020 was organized by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) here at the JN College playground on Thursday, graced by WRD Minister Mama Natung as chief guest.
Acknowledging the hard work of the labour and farming communities of the state, Natung asserted that state government has been very caring and has enhanced the remuneration of the labour community besides providing all due facilities. “The working class should keep their team spirit high to maintain productivity,” he said and assured to recommend the local MLA and DC to allot a plot of land for construction of BMS office building in the township. 
Reiterating state government’s commitment to bring equal development in all constituencies, the Minister lauded the steps taken by East Siang District Administration regarding stringent adherence to lockdown measures and Covid response and appreciated the dynamic leadership of the local MLA Kaling Moyong for all-round development of Pasighat. He also conveyed his gratitude to all the frontline workers for their services in fighting the pandemic in state.
Earlier, Guest of Honour Moyong highlighted the developmental achievements of Pasighat and assured to give priority to health, education and agriculture sectors so that welfare measures are implemented at the grassroots level with transparency. Tali MLA Jikke Tako was present as a special invitee. BMS State President Yashi Sonam elaborated the significance of the National Labour Day and placed some demands before the minister and MLAs for strengthening and betterment of BMS.
