ITANAGAR, Aug 21: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Seva Dal has demanded the resignation of Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) Chairperson, Radhilu Chai and all its members in the wake of the “Arunachal Pradesh Marriage and Inheritance of Property Bill,2012” proposed by the Commission.
Stating that it totally opposes the ‘Bill’, the AP Congress Seva Dal termed it “anti-tribal and anti Arunachal Pradesh activities.” Appreciating the state government's clarification on the matter, the state Congress Seva Dal said that the APSCW members must gracefully step down in the interest of the state.
