ZIRO, Mar 13: Agriculture and Horticulture Minister Er.Tage Taki today attended the National Buyer and Seller Meet 2021 at the Abotani Hall in Hapoli.
Speaking on the occasion, Taki exhorted the farmers (sellers) and the buyers to utilise the platform to exchange ideas and technical know-how. While advising the farmers to take up composite farming encompassing dairy, poultry, piggery, vegetable garden and fishery, the Minister said that the government’s intention is to ensure ease of doing business in Arunachal Pradesh and for this all the agricultural based licenses will be cleared through a single-window system. Further, the Arunachal Pradesh Marketing Board rules are farmer friendly which aims to secure market linkages, he said. “The Department will definitely facilitate banking support for motivated individuals and farmers for technology interventions in the farming sector,” Taki informed. "By the end of 2023 I have a dream to supply Kiwis to all over India and abroad. Why import from New Zealand when we have the potential," he added. 
President, Lower Subansiri Organic Kiwi and Cardamom Growers' Company Gyati Loder  requested the Minister to push for a transportation subsidy for the farmers of the state. 
Agriculture Production Commissioner Rajeev Verma, Director of Horticulture Jummar Rime, Joint Director, Horticulture Tage Tatung and CEO, Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board Okit Palling also spoke on the occasion.
It is worth mentioning that Arunachal Pradesh is the largest producer of Kiwi in the country and Lower Subansiri is the highest Kiwi producer in the state. Arunachal  is also the 2nd largest producer of large cardamom in the country and Lower Subansiri is also the largest producer of large cardamom in the state. DIPRO
