ITANAGAR, Oct 17: A field visit for monitoring the pre and post development activities of the projects executed by the Soil & Water Conservation Department in Poma and Khamir villages in Papum Pare district was undertaken on Saturday by the officials of the State Climate Change Cell in coordination with NABARD (NIE) and villagers.
The team consisted of the Director Soil & Water Conservation Department Joram Puppa, Dy. Mission Director SMAF and APFC Dr. G Murtem, AGM NABARD S. Ghosh, Director Env. & Project Coordinator, NAFCC, Arunachal Pradesh D Dohu Robin and others including GIS and climate experts. The team inspected the completed intervening activities at Khamir village undertaken by the villagers under expert guidance. A second team surveyed the springs and GPS locations in Poma II village area.
The NABARD AGM while expressing satisfaction with the project activities also suggested a few measures.
