Itanagar, Sep 1: State unit of the BJP today paid tribute to the former President of India and Bharat Ratna Pranab Mukherjee who passed away on Monday in the national capital.
A condolence meeting was conducted here at the State BJP Hq following Covid SOPs which was attended by many leaders and karyakartas. MLA Namsai and State General Secretary Zingnu Namchoom briefed about the life of Late Pranab Mukherjee. Leading the condolence meeting, State President Biyuram Wahge termed the Late President as one of the most respected political figures of India who was loved by people from all walks of life and politicians cutting across party affiliations. “With the death of Pranab da we have lost a great statesman and an ever-smiling leadership,” he said while praying eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family members.
