ITANAGAR, Apr 14: State BJP today celebrated the 130th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar here at its headquarters in H Sector.

Addressing the gathering, state BJP President and Pakke Kessang MLA Biyuram Wahge while recalling the enormous contributions of Dr Ambedkar as a social reformer, appealed to the party cadres to prepare themselves to fight the second Covid wave. He urged them to sensitize their family members, relatives, friends and neighbours to maintain all Covid protocols and encourage all those above 45 years to get vaccinated  at  the nearest PHC/CHC. Former Minister Karya Bagang, senior leaders like Techi Nicha, Taiek Goi and Nalong Mize, Mohila Morcha President Higio Aruni, Yuva Morcha President Ram Tajo and BJP Vice President Nani Lazi were among others present.

The dignitaries also took part in a lamp-lighting ceremony and paid floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar.
