Itanagar, Aug 4: The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to mark the 75th year of India’s Independence at the party’s State headquarters here. BJP’s State president Biyuram Wahge, MLA, while launching the campaign in presence of party leaders and karyakartas, said that the idea behind the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to remember the sacrifices made for country’s Independence.
He also informed that from today onwards ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign will be launched by the party at every district, block, and village and booth level to ensure that the National Flag reaches every household and hoist it at their homes during August 13-15 to mark the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence.
BJP State secretary Joram Tat said as part of the initiative, the public shall be encouraged to hoist the national flag in their homes. The campaign shall give an opportunity to general public to involve themselves in Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration and feel pride for the nation. He added that the people of Arunachal Pradesh are very patriotic and we can see it in every nook and corner of the state.

Party’s State vice president Yalam Taga Burang while participating in the programme lauded the Govt of India for launching the campaign and selling national flags to people of India, and added that merely buying the flag isn’t the purpose; one must own it to accord highest respect and honour. She urged people to purchase and hoist the national flag at their residences to show patriotism toward our motherland.
The programme was also attended by BJP general secretaries Chau Zingnu Namchoom (MLA) and Nalong Mize, vice president Tarh Tarak, State secretaries Ashok Sangchuju, Toko Yapa and Taring Tiri, Party’s Yuva Morcha president Ram Tajo, ST Morcha president Hinium Tacho, party spokesperson Techi Necha, co-convenor of media department Nima Sange and social media incharge Sangey Tsering Thungon, among others.
