ITANAGAR, May 9: The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today came out in support of the government on the action taken in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) paper leakage case and appealed all cross-section of people to maintain peace and requested all concern to come forward for dialogue with the state government for a peaceful solution.
Despite, quick and strict action taken by the government in the paper leakage case, the bandh call given by some organizations may not be reasonable at this juncture. Hence, the three (3) days statewide bandh called given by some organizations from May 10-12 next will not only affect the normal life of common people of the state but will also cause impediments to various developmental activities, the Party said in a statement.
Quoting the Chief Minister that bandh is not a solution for any issue, the state BJP said that there are other democratic ways to express grievances of the public to the government.
The present government led by CM Pema Khandu, is a people friendly, development-oriented government which also maintains a high degree of transparency and accountability in its functioning. The 13-point demands given by ANSU and PAJSC has been almost fulfilled by the state  government as per the understanding that was reached with  the government on February 18 last, the party said.
It further added that the state government is continuously monitoring the progress of the investigation and updating the progress in public domain and it will address the grievances of all the stakeholders in the best possible manner.
The BJP Arunachal Pradesh also mourned the death whistleblower  Gyamar Padang and said he will always remain a symbol of honesty and integrity in the state.
