PASIGHAT, Mar 1: The annual calendar of events of the Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) was officially released today at an impressive function at Donyi Hanggo Resort, Pasighat by the Honorary Secretary, ASBA, Bamang Tago in the presence of Dr. Naku Taloh, President and Narmi Darang, General Secretary, East Siang Badminton Association (ESBA).
The annual calendar is an official notification of the tentative dates of all categories of events to be organized by ASBA in the upcoming calendar year. The calendar is in accordance with the calendar of events as notified by the Badminton Association of India (BAI).
Bamang Tago spoke on the need for purposeful channeling of energy towards focusing and training the youngsters of the state in the game of badminton.  He also informed that the ASBA is setting its sights on sending children for the Olympics in the near future. Dr. Naku Taloh informed the house that East Siang Badminton Association has appointed a regular coach at Pasighat for the training of all categories of interested members. All important emphasis is being accorded to the age group between 6 - 12 years. Parents of East Siang were requested to send their children to the coaching centre after completion of necessary formalities.
The progamme was attended by other executive functionaries of ASBA and ESBA. DIPRO
