MECHUKHA, Dec 1: State Assembly Speaker PD Sona on Wednesday inaugurated free Lab Diagnostic Services at Community Health Centre, Mechukha in presence of DMO Shi-Yomi Dr Millo Kunya. 
A centrally sponsored scheme, the free Lab Diagnostic Services is being implemented through National Health Mission (NHM) to provide diagnostic services free of cost to the public.
Altogether 50 tests are available free of cost covering clinical pathology, bio-chemistry and serology.
Inspecting the newly installed Diagnostic Services, the Speaker said that the lab will greatly benefit the public of Shi-Yomi. He suggested the medical teams to properly maintain the new machines and help the needy people.
DMO while highlighting about the services, appealed everyone to avail the free services.
