MECHUKA, Apr 2: Legislative Assembly speaker P D Sona on Friday inaugurated a dental OPD and a kiosk of the Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana' (CMAAY) at the Community Health Centre here.
Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said dental ailment is one of the most common problems in the district that need regular attention.
The new outpatient department (OPD) will greatly benefit the public of Shi-Yomi who had to frequently travel to Aalo and other places to get themselves treated, he said.
He, however, appealed to the people, especially youths not to demolish the public properties as in the past.
While responding to requests made by PRI leaders and Gaon Buras for uninterrupted power and water supply in the health centre, Sona assured to instruct the authority concerned to look into the same at the earliest.
Among others, Shi-Yomi superintendent of police G Dajangju, ZPC Yadom Tapo, Mechuka ZPM Maling Koje and a host of other senior public leaders were present on the occasion.
