PASIGHAT, Mar 8:  Pramod Kumar Mishra (IPS) took over charge as Superintendent of Police of East Siang district. Hailing from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Mishra is a 2008 batch IPS officer. After serving in Daman, Diu and Dadar Nagar Haveli, he was serving as DCP in Rohini District, Delhi before joining to Arunachal Pradesh.
After taking charge, Mishra visited all police stations of East Siang and interacted with the police personnel and asserted that maintenance of law and order, transparent working of police would be his priorities. All available resources would be utilized in maintaining safety, security, peace and tranquility in society, safeguarding the glory of the centurion town. While visiting the women police station, he expressed hope that women of East Siang would feel free to lodge their complaints in the police in the women police station and offences committed against them would be dealt with an iron hand. Laying stress on crime prevention, he sought coordinated efforts from all stake holders to make East Siang a crime-free district.  DIPRO
