TEZU, Jul 21:

 

In order to inspect and take stock of the ongoing Tourism projects in the district and also to oversee tourism development prospects in Lohit district, Tourism Parliamentary Secretary PD Sona visited Tezu today.

Sona visited Tezu Airport, Tezu Tourist Lodge, Tourist complex and tourist lodge at Parshuram Kund, and also wayside amenity at Wakro. While inspecting the Tezu Airport, he expressed his satisfaction over the advanced stage of preparedness. 

Sona assured to provide necessary fund for renovation of Tezu Tourist Lodge, informed District Tourism Officer Dibroo Catherine Boo.

The Parliamentary Secretary asked DTO to submit detail reports of the ongoing Tourism projects in the district as early as possible.

 

Minister Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Art & Culture, Dr. Mohesh Chai who is also the local MLA of the area accompanied the Parliamentary Secretary during the site visits. He highlighted on various scopes of tourism development in the area particularly of the development of Lohit View Point (Hawa Camp) at Tohanggam.

 

Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf also submitted a memorandum to the Parliamentary Secretary Sona in respect of tourism development of the district especially of Parsuram Kund.

DTO Dibroo Catherine Boo, CO Kenter Lendo, representatives from executing departments, District Planning Officer etc accompanied the Parliamentary Secretary during his various visits.
