ITANAGAR, Sep 30: State Assembly Speaker P D sona on Thursday released a promotional video of ‘Menchukha Adventure Park’ in presence of Tourism Minister Nakap Nalo, Advisor to Tourism Laisam Simai, Secretary Tourism Sadhana Deori and Director Tourism Abu Tayeng.  
First of its kind in the northeast region which offers a perfect destination for adventure enthusiasts, the upcoming adventure park is being managed by a group of local youths from the state under the Far-East Tourism Development Pvt. Ltd.
The Speaker lauded the youths for managing such a big project without government help and assured to extend all possible help from his side as local representative. He hoped that the upcoming park would attract more tourists, especially adventure lovers in the valley.
The Tourism Minister also praised the management for their commendable work and assured to help.
The Secretary Tourism and Director suggested the management to explore and come up with more interesting activities which should be exclusive to Mechukha. Referring to the longest zipline of northeast set up at Mechukha, the Director said that there should be a specific reason for people to visit Mechukha like visiting to experience the longest zipline.
Earlier, Managing Director  of Far-East Tourism Development Pvt. Ltd., Bengia Seeker explained in detail about the Adventure Park. He informed that due to covid pandemic some of the remaining works had been left unfinished for around two years. Now the work is finally completed and the park is fully ready and will be inaugurated in November, he said. 
He added that adventure activities like white river rafting, kayaking, quad, MTB, paragliding, rappelling etc are already operational, and icing on the cake is one can experience the longest zipline (over 800 metre) ride of northeast from Singbir village to Menchukha Adventure Camp, Chupala.
Further, he informed that they are also exploring and identifying the location to set up bungee jumping.
