ITANAGAR, Jun 13: Assembly Speaker P D Sona on Monday urged all the Head of Deparments and PRI leaders of Shi-Yomi district to work in unison for overall development of the district. He said this while chairing a coordination meeting of HoDs and PRI leaders of Shi-Yomi district at his office conference hall at the Assembly.
Acknowledging that officials posted in the remote district are facing numerous hardships due to various factors, Sona, who represents the district in the Legislative Assembly, urged the HoDs however to overcome the same and work for the greater interest of the district as they are the backbone of the government.
While assuring that he is always there to help, Sona called for coordinated efforts from each government official and PRI member to fulfill the aspirations of the public. He urged them to go beyond the call of duty and serve the society.
Stressing on development of agriculture, horticulture and other allied sectors in the district, the Sona suggested to the concerned departments that the schemes of government should reach to all genuine beneficiaries while maintaining transparency. 
Zila Parishad Chairperson Yadom Tapo, ZPM Mechukha Maling Koje and ZPM Monigong Tagam Jempen also shared their views and requested the government officials especially HoDs for their support and guidance for implementation of various projects and schemes in the district.  
The HoDs also took part in the discussion and placed their grievances and issues confronting their departments in the district such as absence of ministerial staff, staff quarters, accommodation etc.
Earlier, Shi-Yomi DC Mito Dirchi, highlighted the coordination meeting. He assured full support from the district administration to overcome challenges being faced by the departments. He, however, reiterated that coordinated efforts from PRI leaders and government officials are prerequisite for all kinds of development in the district.
