ZIRO, Jun 26: Sojang Lapang Sports Club (SLSC) lifted the coveted Golden Jubilee Dree Football trophy by defeating Diibo Sports Club (DSC) with 1-0 goal in final match played here today.

The lone goal came at the 81st minute when skipper of SLSC Mihin Pullo managed a goal. Despite all attempts, DSC could not manage to equalize the score.

Dignitaries handed over the trophies to the winner SLSC and DSC as well as individual awards. Best player and best goalkeeper award went to Mihin Pullo and Tage Pilya of SLSC. Emerging player and best coach award was awarded to Tage Tali and Radhe Tamang of SCLC.

Best defender award went to Koj Tangu of DSC while best team manager went to Radhe Richo of Hello Football Club Itanagar. Highest goal scorer awarded went to two players Landi Millo of Hari Sports Club and Nada Tamo of All Hija Sports Association-A (AHSA-A)

Fastest goal and longest goal shoot of the tournament award went to Nada Tani of All Hija Sports Association-B (AHSA-B) and Koj Rissang of Diibo Football Club respectively. The best goal scorer of the tournament went to Nada Tamo of AHSA-A.

SLSC lifted the championship trophy and cash prize of Rs. 150000/-, DSC the Runner Up trophy along with cash amount of Rs. 75000/- and Hello Football Club Itanagar grabbed the Fair Play team award of the tournament.

Attending the closing ceremony as the chief guest, Gumpe Rime, National Goal Keeping Coach, Head of Youth Development Shillong Lajong Football Club, appreciated Central Dree Festival Committee (CDFC) and the people of Apatani in general for organizing the tournament for last 50 years without any break. Disclosing that Shillong Lajong Football Club in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh Football Association is selecting players from June 28 to 29next from the State, he invited players to take part in selection process at Naharlagun.

Earlier, CDFC’s chief games & sports Secretary Taru T Razu highlighted the process and objectives of organizing the tournament.

Earlier chief guest and dignitaries visited displaying of championship trophies of Dree Football Tournament of last 49 years.
