Itanagar, Nov 12: State Level Standing Committee (SLSC) meeting for finalization of projects under PMGSY-III was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar at Civil Secretariat, today.
Commissioner PWD Kaling Tayeng, Addl PCCF K.B. Singh, Commissioner Padmini Singla, Secretary Finance Y.W. Ringu, Secretary RD Amarnath Talwade, Secretary RWD N.T. Glow, CE (PMGSY) D. Nyodu, Technical Advisor L.C. Dhimole, A.K. Singh EE BRO 756 BRTF and others were present in the meeting.
The committee approved a total of 1375 Kilometers of 192 roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-III covering 25 districts of the State with a total 78 Block Wise number of roads based on the eligibility criteria as per priority.
The Government of India has set the date of completion for the PMGSY-III in March 2025. However the Chief Secretary suggested that the RWD could take up the task of completing the roads by March 2024, which is a year ahead of the target of the Government of India.
