ZIRO, Sep 24: The Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship on sponsorship by the Public Health Engineering & Water Supply (PHE&WS) had imparted capacity Building and Skill development training to 6307 candidates across all the 25 districts in Plumber/Mason/Electrician under Jal Jeevan Mission. The training was imparted through three empanelled training providers viz Reflexion Digital Pvt Ltd, Zentex Educational welfare society and Yuva Arunachal. The training began from the last week of March and concluded today with the certificate distribution programme to the last batch of trainees at ITI Manipolyang.
The Jal Jeevan Mission envisions to provide functional household tap water supply at 55 Litres Per Capita Per Day (LPCD) has transformed to a community approach to empower and strengthen the youth with knowledge and skill so that the intra water supply in the villages can be looked after by the villagers themselves. Today, the implementation of JJM demanded extensive knowledge and skill sets in Plumbing/Mason/Electrician and this could only be attained through proper training.
