Koloriang, Sep 1: A skill development training under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) for Kurung Kumey district was launched here on Tuesday by Deputy Commissioner Kento Riba which was attended by around 70 unemployed youths.

The DC while elaborating the usefulness of the training for becoming self-employed exhorted the trainees to be sincere while attending it. He detailed various government schemes that provide working capital in trades such as basic computer, embroidery, house-wiring, electrician and plumbing. District Project Officer (DPO) Sangha Babung appealed to the participants to utilize the opportunity to improve their skill and revealed the training will be imparted on pre and post stocking measures.

ADC Nabam Tajik, DIPRO-Kurung Kumey Ringu Takap and various dignitaries of the district attended the inaugural function. DIPRO
