PASIGHAT, Nov 9: In a major fire accident that broke out here at Pasighat Sawmill area today around 11.00 AM, six households including an Alto Car was gutted down completely while two other houses were partially damaged.
The inferno was brought under control by the timely intervention of the Pasighat fire brigade which doused the fire on time and prevented further spread to nearby households.
Informing about the incident, Tobuk Dai of Boying village who happens to be the father of Tobom Dai, Gen. Secretary, AAPSU, and also the owner of the land where the accident occurred, appealed to the District Administration to provide immediate relief to the affected families. Dai also appreciated Pasighat Police Officer-In-Charge, Otu Gao and fire department for timely and quick response.
It is worth mentioning here that Pasighat township areas is prone to fire accidents during winter/dry season and many such mishaps have occurred in the past due to its windy conditions.
