TAWANG, Sep 27: The hunt for a feasible site for VKV Lungla continues as the two sites at FC and Sazo remain cancelled owing to technical issues.
The villagers of Sakyur, Thrillam and Bukyung have offered their community land at Soula Cheh for establishing VKV Lungla. A team led by Tashi Dondhup, ADC Lungla and Rinchin Norbu, VKV Cluster In-charge, inspected the proposed site, today.
Earlier, on August 13, Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi had introduced two sites at Sazo village and FC to the visiting team of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Arunachal Pradesh Trust (VKVAPT) and Central Hindu Military Education School (CHMES).
Speaking to Mon Tawang Vigilance, Rupesh Mathur, VKVAPT Joint Secretary and Pranth Sangathak of Arunachal Pranth, had confirmed that a VKV for Lumla is final.
VKV Lumla will be the first of its kind as it will collaborate with CHMES. CHMES is a renowned military school established even before India's Independence and boasts of contributing many Indian Army officers for the nation and runs reputed institutions across the nation.
The students of VKV Lumla will be imparted Physical training and trained in swimming, shooting and horse riding etc by CHMES with focus to produce efficient military officers and sportspersons.
While VKV will focus on education, CHMES will aim to produce Army officers and sportspersons from VKV Lumla to serve the nation. (Mon Tawang Vigilance)
