Itanagar, Feb 2:  Single-day recoveries continued to outnumber fresh COVID-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh as 357 more people recuperated from the disease in the last 24 hours, while 237 new infections were reported. However, two more succumbed to the virus pushing the death toll to 290.
The fresh cases pushed the active cases to 2375 while positivity rate was at 10.7%.
The two deaths were reported at the Dedicated Covid Hospital, Chimpu and both deceased hailed from the Itanagar Capital Region. A 61-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man with comorbidities died due to acute respiratory distress syndrome.
Of the new cases, 56 were reported from the Capital Complex Region, Lower Subansiri (46) and East Siang  (19) were the other two districts with highest cases.
