TAWANG, Apr 22: Chief Minister of Sikkim, PS Tamang who was accompanied by the Speaker  LB Das including other elected representatives were accorded a warm traditional reception today by MLA Tawang Tsering Tashi, Deputy Commissioner Kesang Ngurup Damo,SP Bomge Kamduk at Dzela.
Later the dignitaries visited the  Tawang War memorial and paid homage to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in protecting Tawang from intruders in 1962. They also visited the Tawang Gaden Namgyal Lhatse(Tawang Monastery) and offered prayers.
The Sikkimese delegation will leave for Bishum Phudung under Dirang Sub Division of West Kameng District on Saturday to attend the Arunachal-Sikkim Cultural Exchange programme.
